Mandurah Historical Society Inc

The Mandurah Historical Society Incorporated is a not for profit organisation run solely by volunteers. We have a Management Committee and all of our members are volunteers.

We organise activities based around the preservation of historical information, artefacts, photographs and memorabilia about Mandurah and the Peel district.

Our main activities and fundraising are focused around the preservation of Hall’s Cottage(named  Dedallumup  Circa 1832) Hall’s Cottage is located at 7 Leighton Place Hall’s Head on Mandurah’s Western foreshore nestled between the canals and close to the Mandurah War Memorial. We offer the general public, visitors, students and all community groups the opportunity to view the cottage to see for themselves how our forebears lived and to appreciate the hardships faced by our pioneers at the time of settlement. We welcome new volunteers and offer a variety of fund-raising activities that they can become involved in such as garage sales, street stalls and baking, Heritage day Celebrations (commemorating our pioneers) meetings with other W.A Societies and Heritage groups (Peel Chapter) and attend conferences and school group tours with Primary School children.
