Name:  Secretary

Short description: A new Secretary is required.  Duties include receiving incoming, and outgoing correspondence, Minutes of Meetings, typing newsletters, and letters, updating spreadsheets, and databases, general filing, reception, and funding applications.

Description:  A new Secretary is required.  Duties of the position include:  receiving incoming, and outgoing correspondence (including emails), minutes of meetings, typing newsletters, and letters, updating spreadsheets, general filing, reception, and funding applications.  Computer literacy is a must, use of Microsoft suite of applications such as Word and Excel.   The candidate chosen will also need very good written and verbal communication skills.  An interest in history is preferred, as well as someone who can help at Society events.

Requirements:  Someone available to do a little extra work in their own time (as required), and someone willing to learn a bit about local history.

Commitment:  Regular – more than 6 months

Time Required:  10am to 4pm on Wednesday’s, and attendance at some Society events.

Age Range: 20 to 75

Training:  Training and orientation will be given.

Transport:  Close to public transport, and parking is available in the grounds of Museum House.
